Alzheimer’s Association - Heart of America Chapter

Through its bi-state network of offices, the Heart of America Chapter offers a broad range of programs and services, including a 24-hour Helpline (800.272.3900), at no cost to families.

The Alzheimer’s Association – Heart of America Chapter offers support groups and connects family caregivers to respite grants for caregivers of individuals with state respite programs. These programs provide small grants, up to $1,000 to help with the cost of respite services, care products, home modifications or assistive technology for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia. The caregiver who is seeking the assistance must live with the person who is living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia and both must live in Kansas or Missouri respectively.
