El Centro

El Centro is a community organization that provides a variety of services to people in Wyandotte and Johnson Counties, including:

PROMOTORAS DE SALUD: Enrollment for SNAP, Comprando Rico y Sano community classes and healthy cooking demos.

HEALTH NAVIGATION: KC medicine cabinet site, KanCare & Marketplace enrollments, and health care access coordination.

ACADEMY FOR CHILDREN: NAEYC accredited, year-long, duallanguage pre-school for children 2 1/2 – 5 years old.

ADVOCACY & CIVIC ENGAGEMENT: Monthly DACA and naturalization clinics, Know Your Rights trainings and VOTER education.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT: Emergency assistance, financial literacy, job training and income tax assistance (VITA).
